This week's daytime support group - Get The Right Fit!!!

Ladies it's here, the half yearly sale at Nordstrom! So, we're taking that bra fitting trip we've been waiting for. This Thursday at 10am we'll meet at Temple Hills Community Center and do our best at carpooling (as much as our car seats will allow). We're headed to Pentagon City lingerie department to get bra fittings and see what size we really should be wearing. And with the prices from the sale maybe pick up a little hot number to use during our love dare. Please try and be on time as we'll attempt a caravan for the cars that are going. Ladies I have a couple of announcements I wanted to share with you. Please read below:

SNEAK OUT!
Some of you have heard of our sneak outs, some have even participated, well here's your chance. This Friday, May 25th 7:30pm the mochas are sneaking out over to Mocha Deneen's house to watch the movie Fireproof (In an attempt to save his marriage, A firefighter uses a 40-day experiment known as "The Love Dare"). Conversation has been flowing in mochaland about ways to improve our marriages, and we thought this would be one fun way to further engage ourselves and our mates. Come hang out with us on Friday. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.

We're Moving!
Support group is moving to our summer location. Our last meeting for the spring held at Temple Hills Community Center will be Thursday, June 7th. The last day of school for PG County is June 8th, and after that the community center runs a summer camp in the room where we normally meet. From June 14th - August 16th we will meet weekly at Tucker Road Park (same day Thursdays, same time 10a-12p). Hope to see you there!

The Wait is over!
WE HAVE BLING SHIRTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they are so cute ya'll. I'll have the shirts to disseminate at this week's support group, and the next few events, we have a very limited supply remaining for purchase ($20 each). Contact me soon, as they are first come first served, and will go fast. We are gonna be so cute at this year's regional retreat!

Save the date!
We have our first Fun-Raiser of the year planned - Jump It Off!. On June 15th join us at Pump It Up Waldorf, as we salute our little people for all the hard work they have put into this school year. This event will be open to our family and friends, so bring your child's bff too.

It's EXHALE time again. We had such a great time at our last exhale, that we couldn't wait long for the next one. Plus those desserts were oh so indulgent! June 29th is the date, prepare to be there....

Come one, come all and hear me give a lively workshop on how to keep those duckets in your pockets. One thing I like to do, and do well if you ask me, is shave off some dollars and cents from those everyday needed items.

It might have been a faux pas in the past, but COUPONING has made a comeback! Come and learn all the tricks of the trade this Thursday at 10am...and yes I can teach you how to get those items for free, or even make money when buying toothpaste. See you then.

Hello Mochas! As mommies, it is our responsibility to prepare our children for the world that awaits them. One way of doing this is by stressing the importance of reading to them. So this week's topic is, How do we get our children excited about reading? Here are some questions to think about:

- What types of attitudes do your children have towards reading?

- What creative ways have you come up with to engage your child or children in reading and books?

- Have you discovered which types of books your child or children enjoy most?

- How often do you read to your child or children?

-In addition to summer camps and family vacations, have you thought about how to keep your children reading during the summer?

This week at support group we'll be discussing "Staying Healthy throughout the Summer"

Do you have your "beachbody"? Still working on it?

Well let's talk about the ways that you plan to remain fit during vacation season, and more importantly cookout season.

What are some challenges you face trying to maintain that physical workout schedule during the summer months?
Let's dispel those excuses.....

Weather's warmer, so we can get outside, but now it's too hot, and I am not sacrificing this hairdo!

Cooking on the grill is the way to go, grilled foods are better than fried, but pork ribs twice a week? maybe not.
Bring with you an open mind, and any suggestions/recommendations as to how to keep it healthy.

When I think of HOMEMAKING I think of certain homes that I remember enjoying as a child. There was a certain spirit or attitude about the home that defined it.

Grandma's was comfortable, warm and relaxed. Our home was light, breezy, fresh and creative (we had no tv so we made up songs, plays and games). My best friends house was dark, loud (tv's blaring), cluttered with things and unwelcoming. Everyone's home has an identity of sorts. What do you think yours is? Is it what you'd like it to be?

What is the spirit/feeling of your home?

Do you remember a home where you loved to spend time as a child? Was it your grandmother's or maybe a friends house?

What was the spirit of that home? What drew you to that place?

How are you doing in creating that environment for your family? What changes could you make today to get closer to what you'd like for your family?

(rhetorical questions...Does your husband enjoy being at home with you? Are your children thriving? Do you enjoy being with your family?)
